Xiaomi ended the last month by launching the different versions of the Mi 8 and for June, there’s no stopping either. The company will beannouncing the Redmi 6 seriesat an event in Beijing, China on June 12.
Within this series, Xiaomi could launch the affordable Redmi 6A, the Redmi 6, and a slightly more powered Redmi 6 Plus. While the company has no shared details about the devices it will be launching in theWeibo post, these speculations are based on recent spotting of Redmi devices on Chinese regulator TENAA.
Last week,three Xiaomi device surfaced on TENAAwith same outer dimensions and these are suspected to be different variants of the Redmi 6A. While two of the models feature 12MP+8MP dual camera setup on the back along with a fingerprint scanner, the third one lacks a fingerprint reader and features a single 8MP camera.Courtesy: TENAA
Nearly around the same time, a larger device which is purported to be theRedmi 6 cropped up on TENAAwith a 5.85-inch notch-ed display with a Full HD+ resolution. It is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and could even be the Redmi 6 Plus (which could be rebranded as Redmi Note 6 for launch in India).
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is gearing up tolaunch the Xiaomi S2 as Redmi Y2 in Indiatoday with features such as an AI selfie camera that will please those who click a lot of selfies. The company will alsorelease MIUI 10with the new smartphone.
