As with all software updates, this one is being rolled out in batches, and should be available universally in the coming days. While users will automatically receive a notification once the update is available for their device, they can also manually check for the availability by going over toSettings > System > System Update > Check for update.
The latest update for the Mi A2 comes just days after the device was announced for the Indian market. It went on its first‘pre-order sale’on August 9, but in true Xiaomi style, the sale wasover within minuteson both Amazon and Mi.com, giving fans very little time to book their unit.
It’s worth noting here that the Mi A2 went on its first flash sale in India earlier today on Amazon and Mi.com, and as expected, was sold out in a matter of seconds. The next sale is scheduled for next Thursday, August 23rd.
TheMi A2 is the successorto Xiaomi’s first-ever Android One handset, the Mi A1, and is the global variant of theMi 6Xthat was launched in China earlier this year. It comes with a price-tag that starts at Rs. 16,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Xiaomi is also expected to launch a 6GB+128GB version of the device, but there’s no ETA for that at the moment.
