What Timeline Does Deadpool 3 Takes Place In? Explained

However, one of the biggest questions that will come to your mind after watching Deadpool 3 is inwhat timeline is all of this taking place. So, I am going to give you a simple answer to what timeline Deadpool 3 takes place in.

Most of Deadpool 3 Takes Place in the Void

Yes, you read that right, most of the events that unfold in Deadpool 3 take place in The Void, which we first saw in the Loki TV series on Disney Plus. This means that most major events in Deadpool & Wolverine happen outside all of the timelines. However, there are references to multiple timelines in the movie.

We know that Deadpool 3 is in direct continuation of Deadpool 2. So, as we saw in the ending of Deadpool 2, Cable’s time-traveling machine is now in the hands of Deadpool.

In the first few minutes of Deadpool 3, we see that Deadpool is giving an interview to Happy Hogan to be a part of the Avengers. However, he is rejected and Happy Hogan tells him that he might have a chance someday and that he’ll keep an eye on Deadpool. Deadpool reaches the 616 timeline using Cabel’s time-traveling machine but when he is not successful at joining the Avengers, he travels back to his timeline.

The final act of Deadpool and Wolverine takes place in the Fox Universe timeline. Mr. Paradox tells Deadpool that he is going to destroy his timeline using his Time Ripper machine and this is where Deadpool and Wolverine come after escaping from The Void to stop Mr. Paradox.

However, things take a turn andCassandra Novashows up threatening the entire multiverse. Now it was up to Deadpool and Wolverine to save all of reality which they do by the epic finale of the movie.

In between, Deadpool also travels to multiple timelines to find a suitable Wolverine to help him save his world. However, the movie does not show what timelines these are.
