Folie a Deux Means Madness of Two in French

The French phrase‘Folie a Deux’ means delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association. This title seems to have been thought out quite well since the premise of Joker 2 revolves entirely around two people, Arthur and Harley, who have lost their minds and have found solace in each other.

The trailer for Joker 2, tells us how the title is relevant to the movie since The Joker, or Arthur tells his psychiatrist that “I am not alone anymore”. The entire cinematic we see in the trailer for this movie shows us how alone Arthur had been and how his life has become happier since he found Harley, who understands him better than anyone has ever had.

The representation of his joy is portrayed by the use of music, making Joker: Folie a Deux a partial musical. Now we are not sure how much influence music is going to have on the plot of this movie but since Lady Gaga is playing the role of Harley Quinn in Joker 2, it can be a significant amount.
