The Last of Us Season 2 Cast and Characters

Initially, when Bella Ramsey was cast to play Ellie in The Last of Us, some people were rather skeptical about this casting. However, as soon as the series hit the air, all the skepticism melted away and took the form of undivided appreciation for how she carried out the role. If we look at the game, The Last of Us Part 2, we see a hundredfold fiercer version of Ellie fueled by revenge and anger and it seems the same is set to happen in The Last of Us Season 2.
Kaitlyn Dever is set to appear in The Last of Us Season 2 as Abby. She is the daughter ofJerry Anderson, a Firefly surgeon, whom Joel killed to save Ellie’s life after which she made it her mission to find and kill Joel. In the first act of The Last of Us Part 2, Abby finds Joel after he and Tommy rescue her and as soon as she learns Joel’s identity, she kills him off with a golf club. So, it is certain that she is going to be the antagonist in The Last of Us Season 2.
Tommy is Joel’s brother who got separated from him at the very beginning of The Last of Us. However, Joel never lost hope and always believed his brother was alive. His hope came true when he found Tommy and settled with Ellie and him at his survivor camp. Gabriel Luna plays the role of Tommy in the series and has done a phenomenal job as the character. When Joel was killed in the game, Tommy was present there as well but couldn’t do anything and it seems like that scene will be recreated in the series.
Rutina Wesley will reappear in The Last of Us Season 2 as Maria. She is a secondary character and the wife of Tommy. In the current running story of the show. Tommy and Maria are expecting a baby. However, in the game, Maria was not expecting a child and this is an artistic liberty taken by the creators of this series to add more depth to the plot.
Dina is one of the major characters in The Last of Us. She starts with being Ellie’s friend in the series but after she and Jesse break up, Dina and Ellie engage in a romantic relationship with each other. In the series, she is being played by Isabella Merced, and by the looks of it and how the game turned out to be, she is going to play an important part in Ellie’s ferocious arc in the further acts of The Last of Us.
Jesse is a side character played by Young Mazino in The Last of Us. He is the ex-boyfriend of Dina and a close friend of Ellie. He is one of the characters who joins Ellie in her quest to find Abby and take revenge. However, he is killed in the game by Abby and maybe, this is what will happen in the series as well.
Jeffery Wright appears in the role of Issac, a secondary antagonist who will be seen assisting Abby in her quest to find and kill Joel. He is a former Marine and is the leader of the Washington Liberation Front. Abby is a member of the WLF as well and is friends with two more characters named Manny and her ex-boyfriend Owen who will make an appearance in the series as well.
