Crunchyroll Announces Solo Leveling Season 2
Crunchyroll confirmed that Solo Leveling will return to our screens with Season 2 soon. The second season is titledSolo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow. You can check out the tweet along with the PV below:
Solo Leveling Season 1 concluded with a banger finale episode, and now, every fan is curious about Season 2. For the unacquainted, Season 1 was expected to run for two consecutive cours, but now, we have official confirmation stating that the series will return with a new season.
Even before the official announcement, D&C Media’s CEO, Choi Won-young, spilled the beans on Season 2. In aninterview with a Korean publication, Choi Won-young revealed that Season 2 of the anime is scheduled to premiere within a year after Season 1’s conclusion.
Back then, he didn’t mention anything in detail, so we had no clue if he was talking about Season 1 Part 2 (cour 2) or Season 2. However, we now have a better idea that it would be anentirely new season instead of a second part of the first season.
The first season of Solo Leveling adapted four chapters per episode, and the final episode concluded with the Job Change Arc, adapting the webtoon up to Chapter 45. So, if we consider a similar pacing for the upcoming season, we expect Season 2 tocommence with the Red Gate Arc(Chapter 46) and conclude with the Return to Demon Castle Arc (up to Chapter 89) or the early events of the Jeju Island Arc.
Solo Leveling anime has introduced us to some potent characters from the universe, and it was indeed a mind-blowing experience seeing Jin-Woo get those spectacular powers. However, he has a long way to go before becoming the strongest hunter, and we might get to see him evolve in terms of abilities in the new season.
The renewed season may also shed light on why the architect chose Jin-Woo despite him being the weakest of all. Above all, the documentary ‘The Leveling of Solo Leveling’ accidentally hinted at one of the prominent characters who will make a debut in the next season. It’s none other than Beru, the Ant King who fights against Jin-Woo during the Jeju Island arc.
So, with Jinwoo arising his first-ever shadow inIgris, I can’t wait for the upcoming season to level up the experience for fans. What are your expectations from Solo Leveling Season 2?
