Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party Event Guide

As the eventful month of Pokemon GO’s June roadmap draws to an end, we have another surprise! As it turns out, Niantic is celebrating the Pokemon GO 8th anniversary and having a party with it! This event will bring tons of various events, add new Pokemon, and even let you win fabulous apparel for your character. While the official Pokemon 8th anniversary party is a few days away, on June 28, we already have the details we need. So, if you plan to participate in the Pokemon 8th anniversary, let’s begin discussing it here.

Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary: Start Time and Bonuses

Between June 28 and July 3, players will be getting the following bonuses for participating in Pokemon GO’s 8th anniversary:

So, take advantage of these bonuses when you play Pokemon GO on the designated dates.

Of course, if we are celebrating Pokemon GO’s 8th anniversary, there will naturally be some amazing Pokemon encounters. Let’s look at all the Pokemon making their way to us during the 8th anniversary party!

The Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary event also brings two new Pokemon encounters for the first time in the game. They are:

These two Pokemon will join the game for the first time in this event, and Meltan and Shiny Meltan will make a trio of featured Pokemon. You can catch them anytime throughout the event.

During the event, you can encounter the following Pokemon more frequently in the wild. However, depending on the dates, the Pokemon GO 8th anniversary encounters will also vary. These are:

June 28 at 10 AM – June 29 at 11:59 PM local time

June 30 at 12 AM – July 1 at 11:59 PM local time

July 2 at AM – July 3 at 8 PM local time

So if you plan on capturing any of the Pokemon above, be on the lookout for the dates above.

Five new Pokemon will join the 1-star raids in Pokemon GO as part of the 8th-anniversary event. They are:

Like any event, this one will feature two pieces of research for players to enjoy. The first one is a timed research. You can complete the timed study and get yourself rewarded with the following:
