Oppo has launched the flagship Find X in India today, with an eye-watering price tag of Rs. 59,990. The smartphone will be available in India starting August 3 on Flipkart and retail stores, with pre-orders beginning on July 25.
The Find X wasunveiledin June and features a unique, motorized camera on the front and rear which automatically pops out when needed. It also flaunts an almost bezel-free design with a sleek curved glass build.
The Find X flaunts a ‘Panoramic Arc Screen’ with almost no bezels on either side of the display, as all sensors are located on the slide-out tray which houses the camera lens, the ambient and proximity sensors as well as the facial recognition module.
The device features a dual-glass design with curved edges and a metallic frame surrounding the6.42-inch Full HD+ display(2340×1080 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, with an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%.
Under the hood, the device is powered by theQualcomm Snapdragon 845processor paired with8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Coming to the smartphone’s signature feature, the Find X features an AI-assisted dual rear camera set-up comprising of a primary 16-megapixel f/2.0 sensor, and a 20-megapixel f/2.2 secondary sensor, both of which are covered by a motorized slide-out panel.
The 25-megapixel front camera is also an AI-assisted sensor which comes with features such as 3D emojis (3D Omojiin Oppo’s lingo), selfie beautification, etc. As for authentication, the Find X features a facial recognition system dubbed ‘O-Face Recognition’, which utilizes 3D Structured Light Technology and utilizes a 15,000 facial dot recognition mechanism which is claimed to deliver 20-times higher accuracy than fingerprint sensors.
Oppo Find X Key Specifications:
The Find X runs Color OS 5.1 UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo and packs a 3,730mAh battery with support for the company’s proprietary Super VOOC fast charging, which it claims will provide two hours of talk time for just 5 minutes of charging, and can fully juice up the battery in just 35 minutes. The dual SIM device ditches the 3.5mm jack and features a USB Type-C port.
Oppo has not revealed whether the Find X ‘Automobili Lamborghini Edition‘ will be available in India.
