Being the movie buff that I am, the Strands today was rather easy, and I found myself plowing through it in record time. However, if you’re finding it a tad too hard, you can take a look at the hints and answers for the May 12 NYT Strands I have listed below. So, let’s begin!

What is the Theme for Today’s NYT Strands?

As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is“It’s a date!”.

Like I said, I’m a movie buff, and I instantly spotted PARASITE, SPOTLIGHT and GLADIATOR in the grids. Soon after, I also found ROCKY and CRASH in the bottom right. That led me to find OSCARWINNERS as the Spangram for the day. Well, that was honestly it for today’s game and it had to be one of my fastest solves to date. And, of course, without having to use any hints as well.
