I’m not exaggerating when I say that the Strands today absolutely rocked. Maybe it’s because the theme was right up my alley. But I’m guessing it will be pretty easy for you too. In case it isn’t, here are a couple of hints and the answers for the April 13 NYT Strands. Let’s take a look!

As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is“Group think”.

Oh, the number of things this theme could mean. But, fortunately, my mind latched on to the right thing straight away.

Every Strands game has that one Spangram that you need to decipher and today’s was no exception. The hint for today’s Spangram is –“Electric guitars and headbanging”.

If you have figured out the Spangram from the above hint, figuring out the theme words will be easy. However, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Instead, here are two theme word hints that may help you:

Like I said before, for some reason, my mind went straight tobandsfrom the very start. However, the genre wasn’t clear until I spotted NIRVANA and QUEEN in the grids. Yep, we are going all rock today. That led me straight to ROCKBANDS as the Spangram today, running diagonally from left to right. OASIS and JOURNEY didn’t take long to find either.

Then, I found RUSH, POISON, and HEART in quick succession, thereby concluding today’s NYT Strands. Well, that was super duper fast. It would have been a tragedy had I felt the need to use a hint, given that rock music is my jam. Glad I didn’t.
