HMD Global has been actively launching devices in India to rebuild its lost persona in the country. Now, following a series of launches earlier in India – including Nokia 6.1, 7, and 8 Sirocco, the Finnish company isbringing a bunch of new devices to India.
HMD Global has announced the updated versions of two of its older devices in India. The Nokia 5.1 and 2.1 wereunveiled back in Mayand along with these two devices, HMD also launched a 3GB RAM variant of the Nokia 3.1.
The smartphone features an8MP camera on the backwith a5MP selfie camera on the front. It gets8GB onboard storagewhich can be expanded up to 128GB. Lastly, There’s a 4,100mAh battery that should easily serve for more than a day or two. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 6,999 in India.
There 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. For photography, there’s a16MP shooter on the backalong with an 8MP one for selfies. The device is powered by a2,970mAh battery. HMD haspriced the Nokia 5.1 in India at Rs. 14,499.
All of the remaining specifications, such as the processor, the cameras, and the battery remain the same as the previously launched variant. The 3GB model will go on sale in India atRs. 11,999which is Rs. 1,500 higher than 2GB unit.
All of these smartphones will beavailable for sale in India starting August 12via major offline retailers and online via Paytm.
The Finnish giant has also sent out invites for a launch event on August 21 in India where it isexpected to release the Nokia 6.1 Plusaka the X6. While the device has already been launched in other markets, we wait to see it pricing in India and whether that will be a turning point for the company’s fate in India or not.
