With this year’s Minecraft Live event, Mojang Studios has officially scrapped the yearly game update cycle. The first drop is calledMinecraft Bundles of Bravery, while the second one doesn’t yet have a name. If you’re curious to know what these drops will include and when they will be released, keep reading.

As you’re now aware, Mojang hasconfirmed that Minecraft updates will take a different routeand will be released more frequently; in smaller batches. Because of this change, we are not getting the Minecraft 1.22 update this time around.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to think Minecraft 1.22 is theEnd Updatesince that’s something the community wants the most and it seems like the next most important feature that desperately needs an overhaul.

Continuing the same point as above, since Mojang has moved away from large content updates and Mob Votes (seerejected mobs I want in Minecraft), Minecraft 1.22 update won’t be a reality. Hence, it will not have an official name.

The smaller game drops, which were officially introduced today at Minecraft Live, will carry forward the naming tradition with cool and funky names pointing to the features they bring. The first official Minecraft game drop iscalled Bundles of Bravery. The next game drop wasalso unveiled at this eventbut does not have a name yet. I believe it should be called the Screeching Silence update.

Since we all desire an End update, feel free to check outthings Mojang should add in Minecraft 1.22for even more ideas and speculations. These are just some of the features I wish to see in the future End update if it ever comes to fruition.

There is no Minecraft 1.22 update this time around, and we have information on two new upcoming game drops. One of them introduces a new biome called The Pale Garden. It is an ashen-looking oak forest with pale trees and moss hanging from trees in any direction you look, as shown in the image below.Source: Minecraft/ Mojang Studios

As the devs explained in the live stream, this is an eerie biome with almost no color. The moss you see hanging around is an essential element of this biome as it blocks sightlines and makes you feel trapped. During the day, you can run in and farm the new wood type easily but as nighttime comes around, you need to think about your safety as there is a new danger lurking around. More on this new mob is below.

One of the most interesting mechanics of the Creaking mob is that it does not take any damage as it does not have a heart. Instead, it is merely a wooden puppet that’s controlled by aCreaking Heartyou will find hidden in trees. So, you will need to destroy the heart to kill it.

Moreover, another cool mechanic of the Creaking is that it needs yourattention at all times. You need to be looking at this mob all the time when it is around you; it will attack you the moment you look away. Sounds scary, right? Not as scary as theWarden, though.

So, what do you think of Mojang’s decision to move away from bigger updates once a year to smaller content drops? Also, are you happy about the content revealed for the first two drops? Let us know in the comments below.
