Some Scenes in the Trailer Suggest Joel’s Death in Last of Us Season 2
The trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 features certain scenes that point towards the potential death of Joel. First, the scene where Abby is stuck under the fence is when Joel and Tommy rescue her from the hoard.However, following that incident, when Abby finds out about Joel’s identity, she kills him off with a golf club by beating him to deathwhich might happen in The Last of Us Season 2.
In another scene we see Joel sitting on a chair with the guitar while Ellie is looking at him. This scene is similar to Ellie’s flashback, when she is just about to kill Abby, once again pointing toward Joel’s death in The Last of Us 2.
In the game, Joel’s death happens in the very first act so we might get to see Joel die in the first few episodes of The Last of Us Season 2 itself while the rest of the episodes will follow Ellie’s revenge arc just as it did in the game. This death is probably one of the most emotional deaths in the history of video games so far, HBO has massive expectations to live up to if it is going to happen.
