TheJioPhone 2first went on sale about acouple of weeks agoand went out of stock in a matter of minutes. However, if you weren’t able to grab the JioPhone successor last time, the second flash sale for the JioPhone 2 is scheduled for today at 12:00 PM IST.
The JioPhone 2 will be up for grabs at a flat Rs 2,999 fromReliance Jio’s official website. The company hasn’t taken the security deposit route, like the JioPhone, this time around and you’ll have to put forth the entire amount to grab this smart feature phone. You will also have to pay a Rs 99 delivery charge, which means the device will cost you Rs 3,098.
As you can see above, the JioPhone 2 isn’t exactly like its predecessor and leaves behind the candy bar design to adopt a horizontal 2.4-inch QVGA screen and QWERTY keyboard.
While the former is decent and can bright enough, the latter will take some time getting used to as we’ve grown accustomed to tapping ou fingers on glass slabs, as per the timewe’ve spentwith the device to date.
As for more details, the device is powered by a1GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage(expandable upto 128GB via dedicated microSD card slot). There’s also a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera on board as well, but the highlight is the great collection of apps includingGoogle Maps, Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube – the latter two arecoming very soon.
