Apple’s venture into artificial intelligence has begun with the rollout of Apple Intelligence in iOS 18 beta and macOS Sequoia beta. While not manyApple Intelligence featuresare available for users to get their hands on, you can still get a taste of it (provided you have anApple Intelligence-compatible device). Safari has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Apple Intelligence feature and one useful feature that you can try right now is the new Summarize feature. Safari can now provide webpage summaries generated by AI. Here’s how to summarize web pages in Safari using Apple Intelligence.
Note:Apple Intelligence features are only available in iOS 18 beta as of now.
This feature summarizes text and is quite helpful in cases where don’t want to go through large chunks of block. Despite being in the beta as of now, the Summarize feature is working perfectly. One thing to note here is that every time you refresh the webpage, you’ll have to follow all the steps again to get the summary. Also, the summarize feature works in Private Mode as well.
I feel the feature would have been more useful if it was accessible without digging into the Reader Mode. Nonetheless, this Apple Intelligence feature is another handy feature likeWriting Toolswhich is aimed at elevating the user experience and increasing productivity.
