However, in Deadlock, Parry can be a great differentiator against heavy melee tanks like Abrams or Beebop. A Parry lets you counter enemies’ quick melee and heavy melee attacks. In Deadlock, press theF buttonto Parry enemy attacks. Doing so stuns the opponents for over 2 seconds while turning them on their backs in a knockdown position. You can combine your Spirit Power damage with abilities to take advantage of this stunning period.

When you activate a Parry,you will see a blue armor halo around you for a few seconds. After the duration, you will have aParry cooldown red markerof6 seconds. This prevents you from spamming Parry multiple times. Party is ideal against melee builds so keep an eye out on enemy items while playing the game.

Although Parry itself is a counter mechanic in this MOBA experience, there is a way to counter it as well. The best way to counter a Parry in Deadlock is bybeing fast with your mouse movement. Yes, if you are using the heavy melee attack and you notice their Parry is in an active state,rotate your mouse awayand stall the hit till their blue armor disappears.

Once that’s gone you can still hit them with the charge attack to damage them. You can alsouse debuff reduction itemsfrom the shop. Although the debuff reduction items will not counter a Parry completely, you will be able to reduce the stun timer you get from an enemy Parry attack in the game.
