Path of Exile 2 does many things differently from its predecessor, and Spirit is one of those. Path of Exile 1 had Aura skills, which would reserve a percentage of the Mana to keep the buff or skill going. In Path of Exile 2, this mechanic has received its own pool of resources to draw onto, instead of the Mana, called Spirit.
Players canenable permanent buffs from Aura Skills, which consumes their Spirit. Other than that, the Witch class in particular uses Spirit to summon minions in the game. As Spirit is a limited resource, you’ll need to get more spirits in the game to use more Auras Skills or summon more minions. Here is a quick guide on how you can unlock Spirits and get more of it in PoE 2.
How to Get More Spirit in Path of Exile 2
There are two main ways to increase Spirit in Path of Exile 2, and one additional way for the Witch class. Here are the three ways you can get more Spirit in Path of Exile 2:
The easiest way toget more Spirit in Path of Exile 2 is by equipping Scepters. Most Scepters add a base spirit. The better the Scepters you find in the game, the more Spirit it will get for the character. Other than Scepters, I haven’t come across any other gear that provides Spirit buffs yet, so do tell us in the comments if you found any yourself.
Scepters are the main weapon for the Witch class, but all classes can wield it as long as they meet the stat requirement of the weapon. It’s the quickest way to boost your Spirit in the early game.
The next way to obtain Spirit in Path of Exile 2 is by usingSpirit Boosting consumables. This is the easiest way for most classes will get their first hand on Spirit. In Act 1, you can get a side mission from Finn once you enter the Hunting Grounds area. In the Hunting Grounds, you will have to find the entry to the Freythorn area, where you will have to defeat the Cultist Obelisk.
Ultimately, this will unlock the King in the Mists boss fight. Defeat the King in the Mists and he will drop the Gembloom Skull. Consume theGembloom Skull to increase Spirit by 30. There are likely other bosses in the game who drop similar consumables to boost Spirit, so keep a lookout for them.
The third way to increase Spirit is byascending to Infernalist from the Witch class. As Witch is the only Path of Exile 2 class that needs a massive amount of Spirit for her minions, currently only one of her Ascendancy boosts the Spirit power.
After ascending to the Infernalist, you caninvest Ascension Pointsto exchange her Life for extra spirit power. This will leave your character more prone to dying, but a large enough health pool or a shield focus build will allow you to pull it off gracefully. We already have a guide onhow to ascend in Path of Exile 2, so check it out if you don’t know how to ascend yet.
So, there you have it. Currently, these are the only ways to increase Spirit in Path of Exile 2. There can be more options in the future, but for now, this is all we have. Do you still have doubts? Tell us in the comments below, and I will try my best to clear them.
