Joining the ranks of Automatons is a brand-new enemy type called the Factory Strider. And if you’ve been a part of the current incursion on the Automaton battlefield, you’ve probably seen one. Packed with a ton of armor and lots of guns, these pesky robots are a nightmare. But what is a factory strider, and how do you kill it? Let us help you with our dedicated guide below.
What Is a Factory Strider in Helldivers 2?
Now, hold on, soldier. Before jumping into how to defeat these behemoths, let’s start out by finding out what a factory strider is.
Remember the AT-AT Walkers from the Star Wars movies? Factory Striders are the Helldivers Automaton counterpart of those machines. A strider is alarge four-legged structurethat roams the battlefields in Helldivers 2. Also dubbed as “Walkers” by fellow divers, factory striders have many weapons attached to their bodies, includinglaser turrets.
As an insult to injury, striders, true to their names, are factories thatspawn automatonsas they are patrolling the area. They are also known for being extremely tough and having no exposed weak spots. Some reports even claim thata factory strider can even survive an Eagle 500kg bomb.
As you can tell already, factory strides are a force to be reckoned with. Let’s learn how to deal with them below.
Since factory striders are from the Automaton faction, you will find them on their battlefield. Specifically, you’ll need to head over to theleft side of the Galatic mapto encounter factory striders. Look for planets with major bot factories, as I had the most luck encountering one there.
However, before heading there, ensure you lock on theSuicide (Level 7) difficultyand up, as that’s when most people encounter them.

While you also call in your Hellpod on top of this behemoth, I advise not doing that lest you want your own death along with it. So, until we have more solid information on this beast, stick to the two methods above.
