Unlike fatalities, Brutality in Mortal Kombat 1 is only done when the match is nearing its end. The move is tied to a round-finishing combo. Furthermore, Brutalities in Mk1 require the enemy’s health bar to be at a certain level or lower.

AllMortal Kombat 1 characterscome with one Brutality: The Klassic. This can be performed by your charactersD+2button combination. The Klassic is a simple yet deadly uppercut. However, each character’s Klassic has different conditions for performing them.

So how to perform an MK1 Brutality? Head on over to theMoves and then under the Finisherslist. You will see the Mk1 Brutality below the Fatalities. Once there, choose the one you want and go to its advanced view.

Once you’re there, you will need to learn certain conditions and the button combo itself. So while some MK1 Brutalities might require you to hold a button, others might need some quick pressing. Once you master this song and dance, you should effortlessly be able to perform a Brutality in MK1.

Fortunately, you aren’t stuck with just one brutality in the game. To unlock additional Brutalities in Mortal Kombat 1, you must level up your characters. Each MK1 character has a mastery bar, filling up the more matches you win or the more you play a character.

As you progress and level up, you will unlock character items for customization and even brutalities. Once you unlock a brutality, you’ll need to head over to theCustomizemenu and assign that brutality to your character.
