While optional in the base game, Mohg is a required boss you need to beat to access Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. There are two significant steps to track and defeat Mohg in the Elden Ring. The first step includesbeating Starscourge Radahnat Caelid during the Festival of Radahn. Once you’re done there, your priority is tracking White Mask Varre down after encountering him at The First Step and finishing his quest line.

Once you’ve reached the Moghwyn Palace, head southwest from where you spawn and sit at theDynasty Mausoleum EntranceSite of Grace. Then, follow the road opposite the Site of Grace into a wide open area where a handful of first-generation Albunaurics worship an individual. Instead of fighting with them,hike a rightand ride the enormous elevator to reach Mohg’s boss’s room.
