As big as the standard giants in Elden Ring, the Furnace Golems are a frustrating mini-boss to fight against. Now, let’s get one thing out of the way immediately. You cannot explore or even find a Furnace Golem in the Lands Between map of Elden Ring. This is only aDLC-specific enemy, as it has some story connotations. These giant beings arrived in Shadow Lands when Mesmer laid siege to the island. You can prominently see them in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtreestory trailer.
The Furnace Golem only walks around thebroader section of the Shadow Realm map. You won’t see them in the tighter legacy dungeon of the game. The first Furnace Golem you encounter is before theThree-Cross Site of Grace. And since it is a giant behemoth, you can technically ignore it, move on with your duties, and return to the fight later.
