March 7th is going to receive a new Path, The Hunt, in Honkai Star Rail version 2.4. Hunt March 7th is an Imaginary damage type character and a sub-DPS with good support skills. She can be a great addition to most Hypercarry teams and is very versatile as a character. If you are planning to build March 7th Hunt, here is a complete build guide to get the best out of her kit.
Honkai Star Rail Hunt March 7th Kit and Best Cycle Rotation
Hunt March 7th has a strong Sub-DPS kitand she can be very effective in the correct teams. Her skill increases marks one ally as the Shifu andincreases their speed by 10%. Now, whenever the ally marked as Shifu attacks an enemy or uses their Ultimate, March 7th gains one point of Charge. When she has 7 points of Charge, her basic attack changes to the enhanced formand she takes immediate action while also dealing increased damage from this attack.
Furthermore, after March 7th has marked an ally as Shifu, whenever she attacks an enemy, either of two effects occurs based on the Path of the Shifu. For example, she deals additional damage of the same damage type as the Shifu, equal to 20% of her Attack if the Shifu follows the path of Erudition, Destruction, or Hunt; otherwise, she increases the Toughness Reduction of this instance of damage by 100% if the Shify follows the Harmony, Nihility, Abundance, Preservation paths.
Furthermore, her Ultimate does a single target attack damage and also increases the number of hits from her next Enhanced attacks. Also, her Ascension 4 ability allows her toToughness damage enemies with the same weakness type as the Shifu’s damage type, and her Ascension 6 ability increases the Shifu’s Crit Damage by 60% and Break Effect by 36% for two turns after using her Enhanced Attack.
Hunt March 7th can have two different builds — Break Effect and Crit Damage Build. Both builds are quite strong but have very different Relic and Stat requirements. Here I have given the proper options for both her playstyles.
For Hunt March 7th’s Crit builds, the4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat is a clear favorite, increasing her Attack, Speed, and Basic Attack damage, all of which her perfect for her kit. Other than that, the 4-piece Wastelander of Banditry Desert is also a great option as it increases the Imaginary Damage and additionally increases Crit Rate and Damage against debuffed enemies.
The Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters is a good alternative, as it increases the wearer’s Crit Rate by 4% and additionally increases their Crit Damage based on the number of debuffs on the enemy.
When it comes to her Break Effect build, the4-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge relic setis a clear favorite for Hunt March 7th, increasing the wearer’s Break Effect by 16% and also allowing them to meet enemy defenses by meeting specific Break Effect Thresholds.
Other than that, you can also use a 2-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge and Thief of Shooting Meteor to get a straight 32% Break Effect increase.
Similar to her Relics, March 7th’s Hunt version also has different Planar Ornament requirements depending on her chosen build. Here is a quick look at both of her options.
The 2-piece Rutilant Arena is the best Planar Ornament setfor Hunt March 7th if you are building her for a Crit build. It increases her Crit Rate by 8% and further increases her Basic Attack damage by 20% after meeting the 70% Crit Rate threshold.
The 2-piece Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm is also a good option, but it is limited for teams with another Hunt character like March 7th.
When it comes to Hunt March’s Break Effect build, the2-piece Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the best Planar Ornament setfor her as it increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16% and an additional 20% if they reach 145 speed or higher.
Other than that, the 2-piece Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is another great option, but it only works against enemies with Fire weaknesses.
March 7th can have two different stat sets, depending on the best build you are using on her. For her Crit Build, use Crit body, Attack% feet, Imaginary Damage % Planar Sphere, and Attack % Link Rope. For her Crit Sub stats priority, try toreach 70% Crit rate or higher, 134 Speed, and the rest of the stats into her Crit Damage and Attack %.
When it comes to her Break Effect Build, use a Crit Rate body, Speed boots, Imaginary Damage bonus Sphere, and Break Effect Link Rope. For the sub-stats, prioritize 160 Speed, Break Effect %,and then Crit Rate and Attack %.
Hunt March 7th has some good Light Cone options. The Final Victor isher best Light Cone option if you can reach the 70% Crit Rate threshold. Swordplay is the best alternate Light Cone, dealing a ton of damage for March 7th’s kit. Other than that, the Cruising in the Stellar Ship 5-star Light Cone is the best F2P option, as it is easily obtainable from the Herta Store.
When it comes to the 5-star Light Cone option, there can be many choices but you won’t likely prioritize them for March 7th over their signature characters. Still,Sailing Towards a Second Life is the only Break Effect focused Hunt Light Cone for March, and Sleep Like the Dead is another good option if you have obtained it from the Standard banner.
March 7th has many strong Eidolons, which are worth getting if you want to build her completely. As she is a 4-star character, her Hunt Eidolons are easy to attain. Her E2 and E6 are the main focus among her Eidolons, both increasing the effectiveness of her kit tremendously.

March 7th is a good Sub-DPS option for many Hypercarry teams. Her best Shifu would beYunli, the new 5-star Destruction character. Having March 7th in the Yunli team will allow the team to deal multiple instances of damage every turn cycle.
Other than that, she is also a great partner forJingliu hyper carry teams and Topaz Follow up attack teams. For her best F2P team, she can best be a Break Effect DPS unit alongside Harmony Trailblazer,Gallagher, and Asta.
Hunt March 7th is a decent character in the game and has more uses than her Preservation version, outside of Simulated Universe. She is a really good Sub DPS optionand very F2P friendly, easily slotting herself in most Hypercarry teams.
She is a bit dependent on her Eidolons, so if you are planning to use it make sure to get her Eidolons as well. So, that’s it. Tell us your opinion on Hunt March 7th and whether would build her or not.
