May. 10, 2024

Boothill in Honkai Star Rail is a 5-star Hunt character with a Break Effect focused DPS kit. The Galaxy Ranger has a pretty strong kit and he can work against almost all enemies, due to his Physical weakness applying ability. If built correctly, Boothill can become one of the strongest Hunt character in the game and can shred through single target enemies. Here is Boothill’s complete kit, best build, Relics and Planar Ornaments, and team comps.

Boothill is a 5-star Hunt character with the Physical damage type. His kit is completely DPS focused and he excels in destroying single target elite enemies. He can apply Physical weakness on enemies, making him a very strong character against all enemies.

When it comes to his Lore and Backstory, his Drip Marketing mentions himas a cyborg cowboy drifting among the stars. He is described as optimistic and unrestrained. We also learn that he is a member of the Galaxy Rangers and is trying to take revenge on the IPC. He is also revealed to be hunting Acheron, who according to him, is a false Galaxy Ranger.

Boothill’s kit is very Break Effect damage focused, and alongside Ruan Mei, he can destroy any elite enemy in the game with his best build. His kit also allows him to apply Physical weakness on enemies, making him a good pick against all types of enemies. Here is everything we know about his kit and how to optimally play Boothill’s best build in Honkai Star Rail.

Boothill’s kit is mainly focused on the Break Effect damage he deals with while weakness breaking enemies. His Skill allows him to go on a standoff against an enemy, making enemies other than the one in Standoff, take more damage when they attack him.His Skill also unlocks his enhanced Basic Attack, which is his main source of damage in the game.

As Boothill continues to defeat or weakness-break enemies in Standoff, his Break Effect damage and weakness-breaking efficiency both increase, stacking up to three times. His Ultimate also does a good amount of single target Physical damage on enemiesand also applies Physical weakness. This makes it easier to break enemy weaknesses with Boothill, as he is no longer tied to Physical weakness enemies.

The 4-piece Champion of Streetwise Boxing set is currently the bestrelicset for Boothillas it increases his Physical damage by 10% and increases his attack up to 25%. Other than that, the 4-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor can also be a good choice for Boothill. This may appear as an odd pick for DPS characters, however, the 32% Break Effect increase is going to be very effective on Boothill.

Other than that, you can also go for a 2-piece Champion of Streetwise Boxing and a 2-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor, to get 10% Physical damage and a 16% Break Effect boost.

The 2-piece Firmament Frontline: Glamoth is the perfect Planar Ornament set for Boothill, as it increases his Attack by 12% and his damage by 12%/18% when he meets the Speed threshold of 135/160. As Boothill is going to need a high speed anyway, this set can get the best out of his kit.

The 2-piece Rutilant Arena is also a solid pick for Boothill as it increases his Crit Rate and Basic Attack Damage. Other than that, you can also use the 2-piece Talia: Kingdom of Banditry to get another 36% Break Effect increase for Boothill’s best build.

Boothill’s Ascension 2 ability allows him to get a boost of 30%/150% Crit Rate/Crit Damage from his Break Effect, making Break Effect % a more viable stat than Crit stat for him. So,make sure to stack Attack %, Break Effect %, and Speed on Boothillas much as you can.

Try to hit the 160 Speed threshold of Firmament Frontline: Glamoth, which will also allow him to take two turns in the first two turn cycles by breaking theSpeed Breakpoint. Other than that, use a Physical Damage Boost Planar Sphere and a Break Effect % Link Rope.

Sailing Towards a Second Life is the best Light Cone for Boothill, and it is also his Signature Light Cone. Other than that, Subscribe for More is the best alternative Light Cone for Boothill. Swordplay and Only Silence Remains are also good picks for Boothill.

Boothill’s Eidolons are decently strong and can be worth getting if you want to invest in him. However, his Eidolons don’t really make that big of a difference to Boothill’s best build, and I would recommend you save your Stellar Jades on him.

Stat Boosts:

When it comes to Boothill’s best team comps,Ruan Mei becomes an absolute necessityto get the best out of his kit. Ruan Mei increases break effect damage to another degree, allowing Boothill to do extremely high damage. Other than that, you can pair Boothill with Bronya, who will allow him to take more turns in every turn cycle. Boothill’s best team composition will featureRuan Mei, Bronya, and any sustain that can keep him alive, like Fu Xuan.

You can also useRobinorSparkle, instead of Bronya, to action forward Boothill’s attack. Robin can do a lot more damage against physical weakness enemies, making her a good pair for Boothill, even though he has no follow-up attacks.

Boothill is a strong character, but he is getting released right before Firefly, andFirefly’s leaked kitis setting her to be the strongest DPS character in the game so far.I would recommend you save your Stellar Jades for Firefly instead of spending it on Boothillif you want a DPS character.

However, if you really like Boothill’s aesthetic and don’t care much about Firefly, he is a strong DPS character and can be very strong with his best build. Share your thoughts on Boothill in the comment section and let us know if you are going to pull for him or not.
