Yanfei is a 4-star Pyro DPS character who is quite good for early and mid-game content, especially with her constellations. She can play in both Vape and Burgeon teams acting as the on-field Pyro DPS. Other than that, she can also act as a Pyro Shielder if you have her Constellation 4. Yanfei is always available in the Standard Banner, so she can obtained at any time irrespective of her featured banners. Yanfei: Weapon and Element Type

Yanfei is a 4-star Pyro character wielding a Catalystand she can act as a Pyro on-field DPS or as a Pyro Shielder with her Constellation 4. Her kit focuses on using her Normal attacks to get Scarlet Seals, which she can consume while using her Charged Attack to deal increased AoE Pyro damage. Lore wise, Yanfei is a half-illuminated-beast, and she is among the few who haven’t signed a contract with Rex Lapis. She acts as thepremier legal adviser of Liyue, valuing fairness above all. She has also been responsible for helping Ningguang in uncovering a number of flaws in the Liyue’s system.

Yanfei is a 4-star character so she isalways available in the Standard bannerof Genshin Impact, however, she also has the same drop rate as every other 4-star character and weapons in the standard banner. Her featured banner, she last featured in the 2nd phase banner of Genshin Impact 4.5, on Neuvillette and Kazuha’s banners. Her next banner has not been revealed yet by Genshin Impact.

Yanfei’s English voice actor is Lizzie Freeman, who is known for voicing Trish Una in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (anime), Pomni in The Amazing Digital Circus (anime), and Sparkle in Honkai Star Rail (game).

Yanfei is an on-field Pyro DPS withher kit focused on her Normal and Charged attacks. Yanfei’s kit and build can be tuned towards both Vape, Overvape or the Burgeaon Elemental reaction. Whenever Yanfei hits an enemy with her Normal attack, shegains a stack of Scarlet Seal, which can then be consumed when using her Charged attack to increase the damage and AoE of the attack.Consuming the Scarlet Seals during her Charged Attack also grants her Pyro damagebonus (5% for each stack, max 3 stacks).

One thing to keep in mind is that her Charged attack takes time to cast, so running, jumping, or getting can interrupt it. For her Elemental Burst, she deals a high Pyro AoE damage, gets max Scarlet Seal stacks, and additionallygets a Scarlet Seal stack every fixed interval. Yanfei has two different best builds — Vape/Overvape, or Burgeon. HerVape/Overvape builds will prioritize Attack%and Pyro Damage over other effects, while herBurgeon build will prioritize Elemental Mastery.Here I have given the best Artifact sets for both of her best builds.

For her Vape or Overvape builds, any artifact that increases her Attack and Pyro Damage is perfect for Yanfei. 2-piece sets are best in this situation as they are easy to farm and chances of better sub-stats. For 4-piece sets, you can use eitherCrimson Witch FlamesorWanderer’s Troupeartifact sets, which are both good for Yanfei.

For her Burgeon build, you need to focus on Artifacts that boost Yanfei’s Elemental Mastery. The 4-piece Flower of Paradise is the best Artifact set for Burgeon reactions, as it increases Elemental Mastery by 28, and further increases the damage of Burgeon reactions. Other than that, the 4-pieceGilded Dreamsis also a great option for Yanfei, as it increases Elemental Mastery by quite a lot for the wearer.

Yanfei can have two different stat sets, depending on the best build you are using on her. For her Vape/Overvape build, use Attack% Sands, Pyro Damage Goblet, and Crit Circlet. When it comes to her Burgeon Build, use an EM Sands, Goblet, and Circlet.

The Widsith is the best catalyst weapon for Yanfei’s Vape or Overvape build. It is a 4-star catalyst that adds 55.1% Crit Damage at max level as a bonus effect and 510 base attack. This weapon’s effect also increases either Attack%, Elemental Damage or Elemental Mastery, which are all useful for Yanfei’s vape builds.A Thousand Floating Dreamsis another good 4-star alternative weapon for her.

For 5-star options,Kagura’s VerityandLost Prayers of the Sacred Windsare clear favorites, although it is not recommended to waste your 5-star weapons on Yanfei.

When it comes to the best Burgeon weapons for Yanfei,Sacrificial Fragments, Flowing Purity, and Mappa Mareare all really good options. All of them increase the Elemental Mastery of the character, making them highly useful for Yanfei.

Constellations are very important for Yanfei, and she is very hard to play without them. Her C1 is the most necessary for her kit, as it gives herincreased interruption resistance, allowing you to use Yanfei’s charged attack much more effectively.
