Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Boss Tier List

Jun. 24, 2024

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree features some of the best boss fights in the gameand some incredibly bad ones. These include bosses who pack an amazing challenge while having interesting fights. Well, after beating my way through Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, I decided to sit down and create a god-tier list of all bosses. So with that, let’s take a look at the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree boss tier list here.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree S-Tier Bosses

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree S-Tier Bosses

Note:Bosses that appear multiple times in game have only been mentioned once, excluding the Divine Beast Dancing Lion in Ancient Ruins of Rhua. Also, this Tier List only includes the unique bosses added to the DLC and won’t include the bosses from the base game.

These three Elden Ring bosses are by far the most challenging and possibly provide the best experience inthe Soulsborne series period.

Promised Consort Radahn is the hardest boss in the gameand does much-needed justice to Radahn’s original lore in the story.Bayle the Dread is easily the best dragon fightin the FromSoftware franchise, above Darkeater Midir, and equally challenging.

Messmer the Impaler boss fight is comparatively easier than the other two S-tier bosses mentioned, but the entire setting and execution of the boss fight is perfectly done, making itone of the most memorable fights in the game.

All the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree A-Tier bosses mentioned are incredibly well executed in the game while being very challenging but in a fair capacity.Rellana barely missed the S-tier spot for me, mainly because her fight lacked a bit in cinematic execution compared to the other S-tier bosses.

Divine Beast Dancing Lion is a very good starting bossin the DLC. He initially appears to be unbeatable, but after persevering a few deaths you can clearly see the well-thought-out move sets implemented by FromSoftware.

Alongside them, Midra, Putrescent Knight, Gaius, and Scadutree Avatar are also very well thought out fights, and hard in their own respective ways.

The B-tier bosses in the game brought something new to the fight while not being very challenging.Death Knight is a clear favorite in this tier, just missing out from being in the A tier as he is not a unique boss in the DLC.

The C-tier bosses are either quite easy to defeat, lack the cinematic buildup, or are just not an interesting fight. Metyr, Mother of Fingers, and Romina, Saint of the Bud are the main bosses in the DLC, but they are afew degrees lower in terms of fight execution, making them very easy compared to the other bosses in the game.

The Divine Beast Dancing Lion (Death Blight version) is basically the same as theoriginal Dancing Lion fight, with the Death Blight phase added to it. The boss needed some more unique identifiers, which is why it is sitting in the C-tier.

The D-tier bosses in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree are theworst bosses in the gamefor various reasons.

The Golden Hippopotamus is an extremely difficult fight but forall the wrong reasons. The fight takes place in a small room with barely any movement space, and the camera angle in the fight is simply awful.

Count Ymir and Dancer of Ranah were bothincredibly easyto put anywhere above the D tier. Jagged Peak Drake is just a reskin of the base game dragons, and I was even contemplating on whether to add it to this tier list or not.

And that’s the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree boss tier list. Besides the main bosses, there are a lot of otherElden Ring bossesyou can fight through. So do you agree with our ranking?
