After a successful launch and a short hotfix, FromSoftware has finally released the first major patch for Elden Ring. The new Elden Ringpatch 1.12.3aims to fix bugs and rebalance certain weapons. Additionally, the latest patch also fixes some PC-specific problems from the launch of the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree.
While we do see some changes in the new Elden Ring patch, the highlight for me is that the patch has finally fixed the perfume bottles. The Lightning and Frenzyflame perfume bottles will no longer deal double the intended damage.
Similarly, theCarian Sorcery Swordhas some slight changes, where the intelligence scaling of the weapon has been fixed. But, you’ll also see some slightly decreased damage. Another prominent change comes to the Bloodfiend’s Arm. With the new patch, the Arcane scaling and the status build-up from the weapon have been fixed.
Similarly, the Elden Ring patch 1.12.3 has made some fixes for the bosses and some PC-specific changes. The new patch finally fixes theGolden HippopotamusandCommander Gaius‘ placements during the re-fight. So, you will no longer get attacked by them after immediately entering the boss’s room. This gives you chances to call in your Spirit Ash.
Furthermore, the damage to theSwift Slash skillhas been reduced for PvP encounters with the players. Also you won’t get the pesky “Inappropriate activity detected” message when playing online.
Unfortunately, the new Elden Ring patch doesn’t bring any meaningful performance fixes to the game. However, this patch does fix many underlying problems the launch ofShadow of the Erdtreebrought. This patch also fixes much more than theElden Ring patch 1.12which I was hoping for.
So are you happy with the new Elden Ring 1.12.3 patch? Let me know in the comments below!
