Considering the fact that Asus ZenFone 5Z packs Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU and at least 6GB of RAM, it’s no surprise that the phone flies through day to day tasks. That said, the slower animations fo ZenUI 5 does make the phone feel a bit slower than OnePlus 6.
In our testing, AI scene detection feature along with other AI camera features were a hit or miss. The phone was able to use AI to identify subjects in focus, however, sometimes it led to over-saturating of the images captured. So, either disable the AI or use it at your own risk.
