As per a report by Taiwan’sCommercial Times, Apple has signed a deal with Japan Display (JDI) to supply 6.1-inch ‘Full Active’ LCD panels for the affordable iPhone model. Moreover, the display panels ordered by Apple will reportedly feature an 18:9 aspect ratio with a Full HD+ resolution that will be surrounded by an Aluminum frame, instead of a stainless steel frame as a cost-cutting measure.
Another major change that Apple is set to introduce this year is by adopting theUSB Type-Cstandard for the upcoming iPhone and iPad line-up, partially though. As per a recent report, Apple might supply 18-watt chargers with USB-C to Lighting cables, meaning that the change takes place only at the end of wall adapter.
