Apple Intelligence is using on-device processing to answer your queries and maintain your privacy while you use AI features on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It’s worth knowing that only theM-series processors, A17 Pro, and the latestA18 chipsethave the computational power to make this feature a reality.
Hence, all Apple devices with the aforementioned Apple Silicon will get the new AI features. Here is the complete list of devices that will support Apple Intelligence:
Apple Intelligence is freefor users of all supported iPhone, iPad, and Mac models. To be able to use the AI features, you will initially need to set the Siri and device language to U.S. English. Also, you’ll have to update to the latest macOS Sequoia, iPadOS 18, andiOS 18to access the AI features.
However, not all Apple Intelligence features will be available on release. Apple is expected to roll out first set of Apple Intelligence features with theiOS 18.1 update. Noted Apple analyst has outlined theApple Intelligence release timeline.
