All Genshin Impact Pneuma Characters

Genshin Impact introduced a new mechanic, known as Ousia and Pneuma, in Fontaine. Every Fontaine character introduced in the game has been either Ousia or Pneuma aligned, except Furina who is aligned both ways. The Ousia and Pneuma damage types are largely unimportant, and only have a few usefulness during exploration or stunning certain specific mechanical enemies of Fontaine. There are a total ofseven Pneuma characters in Genshin Impact, and here I have listed all of them, including how to trigger their Pneuma aligned damage.

1. Hydro Traveler

Hydro Traveler’s Elemental Skill sends aTorrent Surgeforward, that deals Hydro damage to enemies who come in contact with it. At 9 seconds after using the Torrent Surge, this attack unleashes a Spiritbreath thorn, piercing enemies and dealing Pneuma-aligned Hydro damage.

Lyney’sCharged Normal Attack at max charge (Level 2) fires off aProp arrow, dealing Pyro damage and summoning Grin-Malkin Hat upon hit. At every 6 seconds, the Prop Arrow causes a Spiritbreath Thorn to descend upon its hit location, dealing Pneuma-aligned Pyro damage.

Charlotte’s charged attack consumes a fixed amount of stamina and deploysMonsieur Veriteafter a moment’s preparation to deal AoE Cryo damage. At every 6 seconds, after using a Charged Attack, Charlotte causes a Spiritbreath Thorn to descend and pierce enemies, dealing Pneuma-aligned AoE Cryo damage.

Neuvillette’sElemental Skill summons araging waterfallthat deals AoE Hydro damage to enemies in front of him, based on his max HP. At every 10 seconds when the Raging Waterfall descends, a Spiritbreath Thorn will descend and pierce enemies, dealing Pneuma-aligned Hydro damage.

Freminet’s Elemental Skill makes him perform anUpward Thrustthat deals Cryo Damage and makes him enter Pers Timer for 10 seconds where his Elemental Skill turns into Shattering Pressure. At every 9 seconds, after using the upward thrust, a Spiritbreath Thorn in the form of another upward thrust will be created, dealing Pneuma-aligned Cryo damage.

Furina is a special character as she can deal both Pneuma and Ousia-aligned damage. Her Normal Attacks perform up to 4 consecutive strikes, her charged attack consumes Stamina to unleash a solo dance, dealing Physical damage to nearby opponents and changing her Arkhe alignment. At 6-second intervals, when Furina’s Normal Attacks hit, a Spiritbreath Thorn descends when her current Arkhe alignment in Pneuma aligned, dealing Pneuma-aligned Hydro damage. One thing to note is that Furina’s starting Arkhe alignment will be Ousia when she takes the field.

Emilie’sElemental Skill creates aLumidouce Casethat deals AoE Dendro damage every few seconds to nearby enemies. At intervals, after Emilie creates a Lumidouce Case this way, a Spiritbreath Thorn descends in front of her and pierces her opponent, dealing Pneuma-aligned Dendro damage.
