All Confirmed NPCs in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Jun. 21, 2024With the release of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, several new features have been added to the game, including new bosses, a new section of the map, and even NPCs. These NPCs were the heart and soul of the base game, helping expand the lore of the Lands Between. Well, based on my early gameplay, Shadow of the Erdtree aims to do that and more with the in-game NPCs. So, how many NPCs exist in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and what is their location? Let’s take a look.
1. Needle Knight Leda
Location:Right in Front of Highway Crossroad Site of Grace, beside Hornsent.
The first NPC you meet in Elden Ring is Needle Knight Leda. She’s one of thestaunch devotees of Miquella, leading the faction responsible for tracking the elusive character. After defeating the boss, you’ll meet her atMohg’s boss chamber.
Then, later on, you will meet her at the Highway Crossroad Site of Grace. She will sometimes come up as an NPC summon for a boss battle, such as the fight against Rellana.
Location:Three-Path Site of Grace
A soldier under the command ofGeneral Radahnof Elden Ring, Redmane Freyja is one of the key members of the acolytetracking down the missing Miquella. Miquella helped save her from her imminent death from Scarlet Rot, resulting in her joining the expedition.
You’ll first meet this Elden Ring NPC at the Three-Cross Site of Grace beside Hornsent. Later, you will find her assisting you through the Divine Beast Dancing Lion as a summon.
Location:Three-Path Site of Grace
An NPC who is generally hostile towards the forces of the Erdtree for the purge at Shadow Realm, Hornsent has aninnate hatred for the order of the Golden Treeand Messmer in Elden Ring. However, he believes Miquella will right the wrong and assist the acolytes in searching for the kind of Miquella. You’ll find Hornsent standing right beside Redmane Freyja at the Three-Cross Site of Grace.
Location:Main Gate Cross Site of Grace
One of the oldest members of the acolyte responsible for tracking down kind Miquella, Ansbach is an old commander for Mohg’s Pureblood Knights. This NPC will sometimesshare tipsabout your journey in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and play a crucial role in the game’s story. You’ll find him standing at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace.

Moore is a soft-spoken individual who sells you wares to help you through the journey of searching for Miquella. As a quartermaster, Moore will share cookbooks and items when you speak with them. You can find Moore sitting right beside Ansbach at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace.
Location:Moorth Ruins Site of Grace
Father Dane, or Dryleaf Dane, is amember of the Dryleaf Sectand proficient in unique martial arts. He talks less but thinks of efficient tactics for fighting opponents. You can find the NPC by the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace. You reach the area by defeating Rellana at Castle Ensis and proceeding to the next section of the map.
Location:Pillar Path Site of Grace
Thiollier is a disciple of St. Trina, who is currently aligned in a weird situation. However, he aligns himself with Miquella’s followers in search of Miquella’s enchantment.
Thiollier’s an exceptional merchantdealing in everything toxic. You can find Thoiollier himself at the Piller Path Site of Grace.
Location:Pillar Path Site of Grace
The surviving branch of the ancient dragon worshippers from Elden Ring, the Dragon Communion Ascetics NPCs are the worshippers of the Dragonlord Placidusax. The Communion Priestess will ask you to help defeat Bayle the Dread, which involves an entirely separate optional questline. You can find this NPC at the Pillar Path Site of Grace.
Location:Inside a Room at Belurat Tower
Inside the Belurat Tower of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you can unlock a room and meet an NPC Hornsent named Grandam. She initially acts cold towards you, given the history of the Golden Order and the massacre caused by Messmer.
However, after defeating the legacy dungeon boss, she asks you to finish Messmer. You can find her right from the Private Altar Site of Grace. She is inside a locked room, left of the Site of Grace. Just exit the balcony and find the door at the end of the hallway.
Location:Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace
A Dragonslayer you first meet when reaching the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, this NPC in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree screams at players to end him and move on. However, once you progress through the optional Bayle the Dread questline, Igon will request that you kill this enemy and call him in during the fight.
