1. Falcone Family and Sal Maroni’s Death
The Penguin’s story has brought some massive elements influencing the world of Batman. First off, Sofiakilled off the entire Falcone familyeradicating the biggest crime family in the whole of Gotham. Moreover, using her mother’s last name, Sofia started a new crime family called The Gigantes. If you remember, in The Batman, Carmine Falcone died right in front of Batman creating a vacuum in the crime world of Gotham.
In my opinion, there is no way on God’s good Earth that Batman is not keeping an eye out for the aftermath of it. On top of this, in The Penguin episode 7, Ozwaldkilled off Sal Maroni, another major crime boss of Gotham. This is bound to send a ripple down the crime world of Gotham and there’s no way Batman won’t show up to interfere with the chaos this is bound to bring upon the city.
A lot has happened since the first episode of The Penguin aired. However, something happened in episode 7 that is bound to capture Batman’s attention. InThe Penguin episode 7, we see that when Ozwald asks Sofia to bring his mom to him in exchange for the drugs, instead of doing what he wants, Sofia sends a bomb to Penguin’s base of operations. Oswald manages to escape, but the bomb completely leveled Crown Point. Such massive destruction, loss of life, and property demands Batman’s attention, raising the chances of him appearing in The Penguin finale.
When The Penguin series was announced, Matt Reeves himself confirmed the connection of this series to The Batman Part 2. The story we are seeing in The Penguin will reflect on the story the upcoming Batman movie will feature. Also, recently it came to light thatSofia Falcone will have a much bigger rolein The Batman Part 2. With that being said and The Penguin finale coming to us next week, we can assume that Batman might show up in the episode which is backed by everything that has gone down in Gotham.
As I said above, Sofia blew up an entire neighborhood which is the perfect setup for Batman to step in to protect the people and stop this war going on between Sofia and Oswald. If nothing else, we can expect a post-credit scene featuring the Caped Crusader. So, let’s wait and see what happens, and till then, stay tuned with us for further updates!
